wrong turn.

offbeat.place began in a borrowed jeep somewhere outside Cherrapunji, after a washed-out road erased the day’s plan.

What replaced it was better: tea in a family kitchen, a walk through cloud forest, and an evening of stories we could never have booked. We came home convinced that travel had become too polished, too crowded, and too predictable.

So we built a different kind of company—one that starts with people, not pins on a map. Every offbeat.place journey is made slowly, in collaboration with the guides, cooks, naturalists, artists, and families who know a place by heart.

We are a tiny, independent team. We travel every route ourselves. And if a place doesn’t leave us slightly changed, it doesn’t make the cut.
